An Epic Failure

Ian and the Ferret-Dog

I've made a decision to start selling my amigurumi patterns on Ravelry! I wanted to make a pattern for a ferret to sell, so I got to work.  I made it and....well nobody thinks it looks like a ferret. I was pretty discouraged at first.( -_- ) But I couldn't stay upset,so I started a new project,and so far I love it! I gave the ferret-thing( lil bro thinks it looks like a dog) to my little brother. Of course He made faces in all the pictures LOL !

Introducing......

Ok, so the little potato girl(two posts back if you haven't read it already) got me thinking. I really liked the way she turned out and I wanted to make more! she was so quick to make(and fun!) that I decided to turn the idea of small squishy dolls into a new line for my store. So introducing......

Animeez!!!

The cute, squishy, anime style dolls you can fit into the palm of your hand!!

I've already made three:(from left to right) Sunny side up, under the sea, and island girl!

I'm getting inspiration for these dolls out of everyday things! that's the best part!

Sunny side up is my favorite!

Fuzzy yarn is the best for hair!!

I like experimenting with eye colors, Island Girl's are pink!

Dumble The Mouse Baby

Yay! I finally finished my project for Ravelry's designer challenge!! His name is Dumble the baby mouse! His name was inspired by the baby mouse in Brian Jacques' book "Salamandastron", where the tiny mouse goes on big adventures!

The bow-tie was my moms idea. A nice touch!

This was my first project ever using alpaca yarn. It's soft but a little hard to work with. I used fuzzy baby yarn for the stripes.

I'm very happy with how he turned out! I wonder If I have a chance of winning the challenge?!

A Crocheted Potato

Hello blogland! Sorry Iv'e been so long gone, but I have been sick for the past three weeks! I'm still feeling a little under the weather, but I'm recovering. Ah yes, about the title....Well It's not technically a potato but it sort of looks like one. Isn't that the happiest little potato you've ever seen!

The little heads (ok I completely made the potato thing up) are called Yukkuri and apparently they are from some kind of computer game. This little lady was a custom order. I have never played the game myself but the little heads are awfully cute! 

Oh, and On a different note I'm planning on entering the April designers challenge on ravelry! Last month the challenge was based on gloves and socks, and I just don't do clothing.....But this month the theme is ....wait for it....Animals!!! The prize is a ton of beautiful yarn from knitpicks! I can't wait to start on my project!

This Amigurumi Will "S (t) eal" Your Heart

Yeah I know it was a lame joke but I couldn't resist! I haven't posted much lately (sorry!) But I have been working on projects. Here's something new, A seal (like you coudn't guess from the title)!  What's really different about him is the fact that I have no idea how I made him! I almost always write down what I'm doing but this time I just didn't feel like it. So this little guy is COMPLETELY one of a kind!!

I love using blue eyes on my dolls! I also love furry yarn, but it takes a while to brush and it's hard to work with. I'm currently working on a doll using a pattern designed by Beth Webber! I Love her patterns because you can add your own flair to them and make them completely unique! I'll post about the doll as soon as it's finished! Oh, and this lil guy will be on etsy soon!

Prize Winning Puppy

  I've been posting a lot about needle felting lately, So I decided It's back to crochet...for today at least! This is an old project I entered into the saline county fair last year. And It won first place!! :D 

I call him my scrappy pup, because I used a ton of different yarns to make him! I gave him to my mom! :)


I also won first place in a different category. The other doll was a blue mermaid with multicolored hair. I sold her though, so I don't have any pictures. 

Yay a real ribbon!!
